junetile

The "dreamy, bittersweet, anti-pop" of junetile swims in a dreamy chilled vibe. Skillfully stacking layers of sound in their less-is-more approach, they allow the mix to build with unhurried atmospherics and often hypnotic grooves. Trippin' out in a style, both innovative and familiar, they combine deep cello lines, economical drum grooves, acoustic ethereal guitars, and heavy analog synth. Junetile's songs swell and ebb plotting a melodic journey through memorable vocal hooks and cool textures.

"People with raw talent, who are comfortable with it and who don't have to try so hard often get embarrassed when people shower them with compliments. Nevertheless, make no mistake, this isn't servile flattery. If you love great pop music, then you will love junetile. I went to catch their trio act (guitar/voice, cello/voice and keys) at C'est What? on a chilly Wednesday night near the end of January, and while the elements kept my heart at home, the music embraced my brain." ~ Spill Magazine
