Blaise Pascal ~ Gig Magazine Blaise Pascal's hook filled polished pop sound has caught the attention of the Canadian music industry with a cool, funky vibe. She possesses a knack for writing solid lyrics that show off her smooth vocal finesse and catchy tunes that integrate tight grooves and hummable melodies. Pascal has impressed both industry and audience alike since arriving on the scene some four years ago.Topping almost 4,000 entries in the 6th annual National Songwriting Competition was a great start, but her second place showing in the first annual John Lennon Songwriting Competition (out of some 34,000 international entrants) has certainly "raised the bar" in critical acclaim for Pascal. Pascal has appeared in concert with Kim Stockwood, Larry Gowan, The Wild Strawberries, Ashley McIsaac, and The Barenaked Ladies. This last summer saw her opening for Tom Cochrane and Our Lady Peace as she continues to gain attention and respect as a vibrant performer worthy of all the praise. |
